Hi and welcome to my page. My name is Linsey and I am a NZ certified reward based dog trainer and a member of APDTNZ.
I believe in training to achieve a happier and heathier relationship between you and your dog. Therefore I choose not to train using aversive methods (ie choke chains or forcing your dog). I believe in using a reinforcement, science based training system, that promotes continuous learning and exploration.
We know that when we reinforce good behaviour that a chemical called Dopamine is released by the brain into our body. Dopamine is a feel good compound that tells our body to repeat the last behaviour, thus helping us reach our training goals.
Reinforcement promotes an increased desire for the dog to repeat the same behaviour.
Punishment elicits avoidance – and I don’t know about you, but I don’t want my dog to avoid anything I am trying to teach.

No Pain, No Stress, No Fear
Dog Walking Service
Group walks or Personal walks. Door to door collection and drop off service. The walk is a minimum of 45 minutes but we are often out for longer as we are having so much fun.
4 Week PuppyCLASS
1st vaccinations required. From ages 8 to 16 weeks.
Your puppy will have fun socialising and learning basic training all the while having a tail wagging good time.
6 Week PuppyPLUS
Full vaccinations required. From age 16 weeks to 1 year or older.
Fun whilst training is the objective for this class. We focus on the relationship between you and your dog. Understanding why things happen and how to help prevent them. Starting at basics and giving you the skills to successfully take your training further, using distraction, distance and duration.
1 on 1 Service
Covering a wide range of training but focusing more on dog/handler relationship. Teaching the dog to look to the handler for help, reassurance and guidance.
Private fun dog park
Our fully fenced training ground is available for you to hire, in 40 minute time slots, for you to train and have fun with your dog. We have some equipment where your dog can gain confidence, jumping and running through tunnels. They can run off leash without the fear of any other dog coming into their space. You can practice all you have learned from class, with the security that your dog will not be disturbed or run off.
